BRTA Tax Token Renewal Fee & Online Payment Process 2026
Hello, welcome to the online tax and tin info blog. When we drive a motorcycle, car, or any other motor vehicle, we have to pay road tax to the government at a fixed rate and within a specific time.
A tax token is given as proof of this road tax payment. During registration, it is issued for 2 years, 5 years, or 10 years. After the validity period ends, the tax token must be renewed.
In this discussion, I have clearly explained how to renew the BRTA tax token, how to pay the renewal fee, and how to collect the tax token, along with other important information.
I hope this guide will help you renew your vehicle’s tax token, InshaAllah.
Our previous blog was about the E-TIN Certificate Registration Guide Online in Bangladesh 2026; you can read it for more learning.
Tax Token Renewal
Renewing the tax token for motorcycles or other motor vehicles is now much easier than before. You can now pay the tax token renewal fee using the bKash or Nagad apps.
If you do not pay the tax token, a case may be filed against the vehicle, and you may have to pay financial penalties.
So, it is wise to renew the tax token on time. You can renew it for the same duration you chose during registration.

Step 3: Tax Token Renewal
- Then you will see when your tax token expires and how much money you need to pay to renew it.

- You will mainly see two fees there: The Tax Token Fee for your bike and the Trustee Board Certificate fee
Many people do not know what the Trustee Board Certificate fee is. It is a special fund under BRTA. This fund is used to provide compensation in case of motor vehicle accidents.
If you are ever involved in a bike accident and cannot pay compensation to injured or deceased persons, BRTA may provide compensation from this accident fund. Usually, the victims receive a one-time payment based on proper documents and proof.
This is called the Trustee Board Certificate, and that is why every motor vehicle has to pay a one-time Trustee Board Certificate fee.
- For motorcycles, the Trustee Board Certificate fee is usually 1,150 taka. If you have not paid this before, you must pay it when renewing your tax token.
- So, your 2-year tax token fee is 2,300 TK if your bike is above 100cc, and the Trustee Board Certificate fee will be a total of 3,450 TK.

- When you click the Pay Fee button, different payment options will appear. You can pay the fee using bKash, Nagad, or a bank card.

- Choose your preferred payment method, enter the required information, and complete the payment.
- After payment, a new page will appear where you need to provide your address details.
- Since the tax token will be delivered to your home, enter your current address carefully.

- Once the payment is completed, the previous red box will turn green, and it will show that your fee has been paid.

- You can also download the payment receipt. If you want to keep proof of payment for the future, download and save the receipt.
